Aptamil Nutriprem Human Milk Fortifier by Nutricia is a powdered Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of preterm and low birthweight infants. It is intended for adding to mother's expressed breast milk or donor breast milk under the close supervision of a neonatologist, dietitian or other suitably qualified healthcare professional.

Use only under medical supervision. Aptamil Nutriprem Human Milk Fortifier must be used in accordance with an individualised feeding plan established by the infant's neonatal or specialist healthcare team. It is not suitable for unsupervised use.

Preparation and Use

Follow the neonatal team’s individual feeding plan and the current manufacturer's instructions. Nutricia describes adding one 1g sachet to 25ml warm expressed breast milk at approximately 37°C, unless a healthcare professional directs otherwise. Wash hands, sterilise feeding equipment and swirl until dissolved. Use promptly or in accordance with neonatal unit instructions; discard unfinished bottle feeds within two hours of preparation. Do not add to infant formula or low birthweight formula.
