Eakin Cohesive StomaWrap 839006 is an open-sided, mouldable hydrocolloid ostomy barrier seal for large, oval and irregularly shaped stomas. The oval design incorporates a convenient slit, allowing the wrap to be placed directly around the stoma and adjusted without stretching it over the stoma.

Once positioned, the soft hydrocolloid material can be moulded and overlapped to form a close seal beneath the stoma pouch or flange. It helps fill gaps and uneven areas while protecting the surrounding skin from contact with stoma output.

How to Apply Eakin Cohesive StomaWrap

1. Clean the skin around the stoma and allow it to dry completely.
2. Remove the protective release paper from the wrap.
3. Use the slit to position the StomaWrap around the base of the stoma.
4. Overlap the ends as required to create a close fit.
5. Gently mould the seal towards the stoma, filling any creases or uneven areas.
6. Place the ostomy pouch or skin barrier over the seal and secure it normally.

Suitable Uses

This ostomy barrier seal is suitable for use around colostomies, ileostomies and urostomies. It is particularly helpful for large or irregular stomas and where the shape of a conventional closed barrier ring makes application difficult.
