Hydrocoll Thin Dressings are a thin self-adherent gelatin-free Hydrocolloid Dressing with a Semi-permeable, polyurethane backing.
The thinner Hydrocoll dressing has a lower absorption capacity for use during the epithelialisation phase of the wound healing process in light to mederately exuding wounds.
Hydrocoll Thin is a hydrocolloid dressing that contains a gel-forming agent within a flexible, waterproof outer layer.
Features:
Hydrocoll Thin is a thin, flexible, and waterproof dressing that is easy to apply and remove. It provides a moist wound healing environment that helps to promote faster healing and reduces the risk of scarring. The dressing is designed to conform to the contours of the body, providing maximum comfort and protection to the wound.
Directions for use:
- Clean the wound with a suitable wound cleanser and dry the surrounding skin.
- Peel off the protective backing from the Hydrocoll Thin dressing and apply the adhesive side to the wound.
- Smooth out any creases or wrinkles in the dressing to ensure good adhesion.
- The dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days, or until it becomes saturated with exudate. It should be changed whenever the edges start to lift or the dressing becomes loose.
Usage:
Hydrocoll Thin is used for the treatment of shallow wounds, such as abrasions, superficial burns, and skin graft donor sites. It can also be used for the management of pressure sores, leg ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers.
Storage:
Hydrocoll Thin should be stored in a dry place at room temperature. The dressing should be kept in its original packaging until it is ready to be used.
Precautions:
Hydrocoll Thin is for external use only. Do not use on infected wounds or wounds with heavy exudate. If there are signs of infection, consult a healthcare professional. If the wound shows signs of deterioration, consult a healthcare professional.
Expiry date:
Hydrocoll Thin has an expiry date that is printed on the packaging. Do not use the dressing after the expiry date has passed.
Ingredients:
Hydrocoll Thin contains a hydrocolloid dressing material, which is made up of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and gelatin.
