Optiflo-R Cather Maintenance Irrigation Solution 100ml

Up to 50% of catheterised patients may experience blockage of their Foley Catheter. Once the cause of catheter blockage has been confirmed as encrustation due to crystal formation or debris then treatment with Optiflo Irrigation Solution can be planned to coincide wherever possible with leg bag changes.

Optiflo R (Solution R - 6% citric acid)

Choosing the correct type of Optiflo 

• Optiflo S - to flush blood clots (not effective against encrustation)
• Optiflo G - to remove sediment deposits
• Solution R - to remove gritty deposits prior to catheter removal.
